Miles Morales (A Spider-Man Novel) by Jason Reynolds

cover109351-medium

My Review:

I had so much fun reading this book, I’ve been a Marvel comics fan for a while and thoroughly enjoyed Miles Morales in Ultimate Spider-Man comics so when I saw that a book was coming out I was so excited to read it. This book does not disappoint! It has the spirit of the comics while staying true to the characters and world. Overall I really enjoyed reading this and would recommend this to fans of the comics or those looking for a good young adult novel.

Final Girls A Novel by Riley Sager

cover100349-medium

My Review:

This is one of the best mystery books I have ever read, it was such a good read. It had me guessing until the end and even then it was kind of a surprise. The character of Quincy really felt like a real person and I felt for the struggles that she had to go through. I can’t say how much of a joy this was to read, it had twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and it was so well-written. I can’t recommend this book more to fans of the mystery genre.

Mutant Mantis Lunch Ladies! (A Monstertown Mystery) by Bruce Hale

cover97929-medium

My Review:

I had enjoyed the first Monstertown Mystery book  Curse of the Were-Hyena it was fun and had an interesting idea, so I was looking forward to the next adventure of Benny and Carlos. This does not disappoint it still has the charm that the first book had and kept it fresh and fun. It was a real nostalgic trip as it  reminded me of Goosebumps and the Bailey School Kids, but this had an originality to it. The characters are really well done and I enjoyed going on their adventures. I hope there’s more to this series and the author as I’m hooked.
